We provide solo rides as well as groups up to 14 or so. We have 30 horses on site, but like to limit our groups to no more than 13 or 14 max. Once we add Wranglers, this puts our line fairly long and the riders in the back can’t hear instruction. Typically, we divide up into smaller groups and will have several small groups going out onto different trails. We prefer this over long, twenty-five horse lines. Of course the other division is by group riding levels as well.
Our Adult Only ride, is in place to give Grown Ups some “Adult” time without the hollering, giggling, and laughing that our family rides produce. You can ride on this time slot as long as you are fourteen and older or at least look and act like it. From December through February, you must dress warmer than you think you’ll need, as this ride’s temperature will drop ten degrees while you are out in the woods. On many nights, the coyotes will begin to holler and it feels as though every critter in the forest is directly behind you. This is another reason that we don’t allow children on the ride. It can be a spooky for little ones. Perfect for date night though!
Lastly, you must have an appointment on the schedule to ride. We book out solid every day, so reservations are a must. Feel free to check last minute fill-in spots, or to get on a waiting list. We have no problem calling you if something opens up. It’s a good idea to book your weekend slot no later than Thursday morning. You can usually get a time during the weekday by calling the day before. After our moonlight rides and Christmas Light rides, you can cool your saddle by the fire and enjoy a delicious mug of creamy hot chocolate, or feel free to bring something “warmer” to drink if you like.
